Beads with Faith is a family run company based upon the Rosary and its teachings. As a Catholic company we aim to encompass faith and bead craft to create handmade Rosary beads, chaplets and Christocentric jewellery items. This blog will contain faith centred articles, information about our workshops and some of our products.

Introducing Claire...

Posted on

I am so blessed to know this woman and to be able to call her a friend. Claire brought me hope during a very difficult year for my family and inspired me to keep going with this mission and spread of devotion to the Rosary as well as to focus on my faith and personal development - to continue to serve others and all of you in the way that we do! I almost gave up- but this woman truly inspired me to never give up on this love and passion of mine!  Claire now has her own website My Walnut Heart where she sells beautiful Jewellery - her work is exsquisite

My name is Claire, I’m a married mother of four and I live in Yorkshire. I’ve been friends with Mo for a number of years and when the opportunity arose to become involved with Beads with Faith, I just jumped at the chance.

Mo’s passion for Beads with Faith is contagious and it’s something that I’ve witnessed over the course of our friendship. I feel privileged to play a small role in something so incredibly special to her.

I feel especially honoured to be involved in the manufacture of wire-wrapped rosaries and other items which will be cherished for a lifetime. I have honestly never made anything that brings me the peace and satisfaction the same way rosaries do.

I’ve made jewellery and, in particular, bag charms for around 10 years. I’m self-taught but incredibly passionate. I love working with anti-tarnish silver plated copper wire because I love the finish of the silver and the way the wire moves when I work with it. I also love that the silver plate is long lasting but I understand that it won’t last forever, however the copper underneath will add a beautiful patina as the years roll by. As the plate wears away, this will leave your own personal stamp on the rosary as the plate will wear away where you handle the rosary, something which is unique to you.

I also love to work with faceted glass and gemstone beads. There’s something special about faceted glass, the way it catches the light and throws it around the room, the way the light almost illuminates the glass – this is also true of crackle beads. The materials I use are special to me, they are materials I love. You know that if you buy something I have made, each material has been bought because I love it and used in that item because it looks and feels the way I want it to.

I love the way that my style of beading is completely different to Mo’s but together we can add a variety of styles to Beads with Faith so that everyone can own a beautiful rosary in a style that suits them.

I feel so pleased to be able to make something so personal for you.
Thank you.
