I have been really working at finding out about some wonderful ministries working for Jesus to spread the Good News, and be the Hands and Feet of Jesus in the world! I came across Veritas on instagram and was really in awe of the work they are doing! If we could all work together like this the world would be such a beautiful place! Here we hear from Gary VanHorn, Executive Director, Veritas Outreach:
Beads with Faith is a family run company based upon the Rosary and its teachings. As a Catholic company we aim to encompass faith and bead craft to create handmade Rosary beads, chaplets and Christocentric jewellery items. This blog will contain faith centred articles, information about our workshops and some of our products.
Veritas Outreach is a street-level ministry that feeds, cloths and ministers to homeless folks wherever we find them. We collect donations of food, clothes, water, small amounts of cash, propane, tents, sleeping bags, and just about any gear we can get our hands on. We deliver all of these donated items to people who are living in the most heartbreaking conditions, such as abandoned cars, tents, cardboard shacks, you can only imagine. Tent cities are a growing phenomenon in almost every major city these days.
I was delighted to come across this wonderful publication on instagram a fabulous magazine! I will be ordering my first copy soon! I simply love their instagram page and know the magazing will be well worth it!
We received this wonderful Update from Manuela at the Belize Rosary Mission Today on their May Mission!
Dear All,On May 13, 2016, feast day of Our Lady of Fatima, thousands of Belizeans gathered in a stadium in Belize City to participate in the largest Eucharist adoration and global living Rosary event in the country. At the start of the event, my aunt Thomasita was called up to the stage where she was acknowledged for the rosary mission work in Belize by touching each child, teacher and principal in the Catholic schools in all the villages, towns and cities nationwide. She was honored with a plaque. Please keep praying for us as we travel to the Corozal district schools this week and to the Toledo District schools next week to teach the children the rosary.Thank You,ManuelaIf you would like to know more about the fundraising we are trying to do for the Rosary Centre to be built in Belize why not visit the Donations Page for the Little Jewel of Fatima! If you would like to donate old Rosary Beads, Rosary leaflets and Divine Mercy items to be sent to belize, Go to our Mission Page
“What a fantastic spectacle is presented on this stage by your gathering here today! Who claimed that today’s youth has lost their sense of values? Is it really true that they cannot be counted on?”
Pope Saint John Paul II, Palm Sunday 1984
World Youth day is a gathering of young people to celebrate their faith! now in its 30th year, I was delighted to receive a last minute invitation for our daughter to attend! This is such an opportunity and whilst she has been invited by Argyll and the Isles and the Diocese of Aberdeen, not our own Archdiocese of Glasgow, I immediately said yes on her behalf! This is the future of our church, the Catholic Church, in the world - such a beautiful opportunity to bear witness to Christ!
